About Clystina

I'm 39, live in Ferndale, and work for Jo-Ann's. My craft focus is quilting. Over the years I have dabbled in alot of different crafts, than I decided I wanted to be really good at something. So that is how I came up with the "craft swap" idea. I have tons of crafty stuff but not much material. In these tough economic times I cant just go out and buy new material to start a new quilt. So I thought there has to be others out there who wish they could get rid of some craft items they no longer wish to experiment with so they could get something they needed or wanted to start a new project. I started this idea back a few months ago. I posted an ad on Craigslist, set a meeting of the minds, e-mailed the interested parties and only one person showed up (Shaina). So Shaina and I sat and enjoyed coffee and brainstormed for a few hours. She is now my partner in this venture. She has great creative ideas and we seem to bring the creativity out in each other. Since the first meeting of the minds I have organized a craft swap gathering, where I had two people show up. So it appears to be growing with each stride. As we get more into this we hope to put out a monthy newsletter and contact list. We will also try to organize more craft swap gatherings. Shaina and I are also available to help anyone with how to questions for our forum on how to post or upload pics etc. Hope you all enjoy this site and I look forward to really watching our community of Artists and Crafters grow.
